This two-story penthouse apartment with its own pool and spa sits atop the new seven-unit Palais building in the high-end Melbourne suburb of Toorak.

“This is Melbourne’s most prestigious suburb,” listing agent Ross Savas said.

Craig Easton is the developer of the four-story Palais Toorak, with architecture by Rob Mills, interior designs by SJB Interiors director Andrew Parr, and landscaping by garden designer Paul Bangay.

The four principals have “come together to create something incredible,” Mr. Savas said. “They have taken luxury to a whole new level—it’s all brand new.”

The project took four years to complete, instead of the planned two.

They “traveled the world to get the finishes,” which include honed marble, timber and brass accents, Mr. Savas said.

All of the materials were “hand picked, hand forged,” he said. “They flew in people from all over the world to work on it.”

The upper floor holds the living and dining rooms, the kitchen, a study and the primary suite.

The kitchen has marble, finished-stone surfaces, smoked glass and metal accents, a glass-framed scullery and a full suite of Gaggenau appliances.

The primary bedroom suite has a walk-in dressing room with hanging spaces and a central console with leather-lined compartments and drawers for jewelry, ties and belts. The primary bathroom features marbled stone finishes, embossed textures, a double vanity, a shower, a tub and full-height windows to capture the city views.

The lower level holds two more bedrooms, an informal living room with a bar, and the outdoor entertainment area and pool.

Both floors of the penthouse have wraparound landscaped terraces with multiple seating areas.

“You have extraordinary views of the city of Melbourne and all of Toorak, extraordinary natural light,” Mr. Savas said.

The 3,681-square-foot apartment has three bedrooms and four full bathrooms. There is also 3,025 square feet of outdoor terrace space.

Neighborhood Notes The penthouse is near Toorak Village and Hawksburn Village, both of which have high-end shops and fine dining, Mr. Savas said. Como Park is also nearby.

It’s about a 15-minute drive to downtown Melbourne, he said.
